Blog session 6: Challenges in Education.
Hello!
For this time, I'll talk about how I see the chilean education system.
In first place, I need to mention 2 things that are important to understand the educational crisis. First, the competition is a cornerstone of our education system, the students of same economic situation must compete for access to higher education. Nowadays, there're three kinds of educational institutions: Private, Particular-Subsidized and Public; but in general the students only compete with another that are in the same kind of institution. This problem is shown in the statistics of ranking of score in the PSU.
In this graph we can see the distribution of score of students from different kind of education institutions. I think that this can be resolved with a rigorous study in the education's budget, with increased funding, the public institutions can do better things that make the students have better score and future.
Secondly, the laws in education are bad or are wrong. For example, the LGE ("Ley General de Educación") that talks how must be the quality level of each educational institution (Reference: National Library of the Chilean's Congress). This law has problems associated to the management of the institutions's funds. Besides, the supervisors are usually associated with corruption. For solve this problem, our challenge is political spaces that all the actors in the educational system could win, because we must all participate.
Thanks for reading, this was my opinion and I would like to know more about yours.
Bye!

Jürgen Habermas: The social communication expert.
Blog session 5: Career-related Website or An expert on your field.
Hello friends!
In the week's blog I would like to talk about an expert related with my career. This person is Jürgen Habermas, an expert in the sociology of the communication. Actually, Habermas has got 86 years old and he's recognized for his work in the social interaction area. And last thing for characterize him, he's member of the Frankfurt Sociology School, place where the principal study object is the social action (this school is influenced for the author Max Weber).
Habermas created a innovative theory related with the interaction between individuals in a communicative space. This theory is knowed as "Theory of network actor" which talks about how and individual can determinate the communication, for example, Habermas says that the communicative action reflects a kind of institution (with norms and moral values), this institution works through the environment where the communicative action it's ocurring.
Sincerely, i don't know all things about him and i don't know his theories. But I like the topic that Habermas work, I think that using his theory is possible learn a lot about our reality, considering that today the communicative action has been transformed. In a close future, when I learn plus about him, I would like to continue his work or make investigations using his work as my basal theory.
Thanks for your attention, Bye!

Blog session 4: Free themed post "My favourite music."
Hi broz!
Today i'm going to tell you what my favorite kind of music is: Rap. But also i listen several kind of music like salsa, cumbia, latin rock, classic rock, ska, punk, and sometimes reggaeton (all except metal and hardcore, because it hurts my ears.
Sincerely, I haven't been listening to Rap for long, it must be 3 years. I started with 'Adickta Sinfonía' who are a Chilean group. Also, I continued listening to rap with single singers for example Portavoz, Cevladé, Gran Rah, Bascur, Hordatoj and Omega el CTM; all these people are Chileans, so, i can say that my favorite kind of music is the chilean rap. I want to add the purpose of this kind of music because that was what caught my attention: the social content. Adickta Sinfonía sings about the popular activities or the daily life of outcasted; Portavoz sing about the social consciousness, and the others sings about different topics like love, like their younger live, they experience with drugs, religion and also about the 'carpe diem' topics.
I went to many recitals, in general all are interrelated by their coordinators (who are hip-hop stores: God Level, La zaga, etc). But last 2 years there was a new type of recital called "La cumbre del rap Chileno", realized in the Caupolican theater (Santiago) and the better groups of Chile go there.
Finally i would like to recommend this gender here -in Chile- because it can open the mind of this nation and could revolutionize the conception of reality

Blog session 2: Expectations for a new semester!
Hello broz
My expectations for this semester are several, but I'm going to write about my academic expectations.

But everything isn't theory, also there're boring subjects and also I would like learn something about them. By other side, I would like speak and write better English and I hope to meet new foreign people.
Another thing, this semester I'm training football (I take it like subject), three days at week and I expect to get a place in the football team (this is my goal), for that, I hope to be better with the ball, I hope to improve my football skills and my physical condition. Especially I would to train with my friends, they're great players and always they're helping me.
Finally, this semester I'm a member of the CECSO. It needs several time and responsibility, so I hope help a lot and be a support; I would like to do many activities for all the community, and at least this semester I'll give all for that.
It's all about my academic (and extracurricular) expectations, thanks for reading.

Blog session 1: My Autobiography
Hello!
I'm Roberto Castillo Ávila, i'm nineteen years old and i'm living in Santiago de Chile. I was born on 28th of November (1995) in Asunción, Paraguay, but I travel to Chile when i was six years old! My father's name is Luis and he's paraguayan and my mother's name is Magally and different of my father she's chilean, so that was the reason whereby I came here. I have also a little sister that has ten years old, her name is Raquel and was born here in Chile and a pet called Ruth, it's a lovely dog. I studied in the primary school "Cadete Arturo Prat", but I changed my school when I enter to secondary, so it was how i arrived at the "Instituto Nacional" where I finished my secondary studies. Now, i'm studying Sociology at Universidad de Chile and I hope finish my career.
I like to practice sport, especially ride a bike or play football. In the past, when i was in elementary, I trained tennis, but product of the strikes of the "Revolución Pingüina" at 2011 (the name of this movement) I stop the training. Last year I was performing BMX, or "Bycicle Motocross" and i loved it, but with the university I also stoped. And now I play regulary football with my friends. But not all is sport in my life, I also like listening music, my favorite gender is the rap (hip-hop culture), but in general I accept a great variety of music.
C ya broz :)
